Did you know that March is Harvest for Hunger Month? Harvest for Hunger is an annual campaign aimed at fighting hunger in 21 of Ohio’s counties. The entire team from Integrity Staffing participated in a warehouse repack event recently at Greater Cleveland Food Bank to help contribute to this year’s Harvest for Hunger campaign. Throughout Northeast Ohio, one in six people is food insecure – meaning they may not know where their next meal will come from. The Greater Cleveland Food Bank seeks to bridge the meal gap, connecting individuals with the nutritious meals they need to succeed.
Integrity Staffing Cares: Greater Cleveland Food Bank
Integrity Staffing is a long-time supporter of important causes in the Northeastern Ohio community. According to the Greater Cleveland Food Bank, “Last year volunteers contributed nearly 62,000 hours of service, preparing meals in our kitchen, sorting food donations in our warehouse, handing out fresh fruits and vegetables at our mass produce distributions, working on office projects, special events and more!”
Volunteering, checking expiration dates and sorting canned goods were just a few ways we were able to help contribute to this worthy cause. This year’s Harvest for Hunger goal is to raise enough food and money for 17 million meals!
The Integrity team was able to fill up dozens of tubs filled with canned goods to be distributed to recipients for the Harvest for Hunger campaign.
