Whether you’re thinking about applying for a job with us or you already have – it’s always a little scary when you don’t know what happens next. In this post, we’re going to walk you through exactly what to expect when you interview with Integrity Staffing.
A Recruiter Will Contact You
Once your application or resume has been received, a recruiter will be in touch with you. We will try you by phone, email and text – so be sure to check your phone and email on a regular basis!
Once you and a recruiter are able to connect, they will ask you some basic questions. Don’t worry. There’s nothing you need to prepare for. The questions will be about things like where you’ve worked, what shift you would like to work and what your pay requirements are.
At the end of the conversation, you’ll schedule a time to come into one of our offices.
Meeting Us in Person
When you come into the office, you’ll be asked to bring two forms of ID. One of them must be a picture ID – such as a Drivers License, State ID or Passport. The other can be a birth certificate or social security card. Talk to your recruiter for a complete list. This identification is required by the government for some of the forms you will need to fill out. The total visit will take around an hour.
During the first part of your visit, you’ll be filling out tax paperwork, reading and signing off on our policies and procedures and taking a general assessment test. You’ll watch a short safety video while you’re waiting to meet with the recruiter.
Spending Time with the Recruiter
Now it’s time to get more in depth with the recruiter. It’s your time to shine! Spend a moment before you come in to our offices to run through where you’ve worked and what you’ve done. The recruiter will ask you questions about your work history. By running through it in your head before you’re appointment, you’ll have a chance to be your best.
Take a deep breath. Be yourself and have a positive, upbeat attitude. While you want to make your best impression on the recruiter, they really are there to help you. Be honest with them about the distance you’re willing to travel for a job, what shift you’re realistically willing to work and how much you need to make. This all helps them to better match you with an available position.
Once the recruiter makes their way through the questions, they will determine if you’re a fit for the role you applied for or if there is something else that would make more sense. If there’s a fit, you’ll submit to a background check and oral drug screen.
Learning About Your New Job
In many cases, you’ll have this interview today and be able to start your new job the very next day. Your recruiter will run through the position they have matched you with and make sure you know about the company, what you’ll be doing all day and where you need to be.
